Description
One of my favorite sculptures in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, DC, is the Breadline by Jose Gil. Mr Gil captured the resolute determination with both face expressions and body language. This shot was in the gray blue light of a rainy overcast sky making their cold huddled stance even more perfect. The whole memorial was fantastic but this was my favorite especially when you relate it to today's world.

Great capture!
John Prichard replied:
Thanks Svetlana. I love your stuff. Maybe I will be as photoshop brave someday. My Stella (dog) picture I got out the digital pen and painted out the reflection that covered eye and nose. But that is near the top of my bravery. It was a very gray day for the shot at the Roosevelt Memorial but kept the sun in line. Then I had to wait for teenagers to quit doing goofy poses with them. I bet these teens (4 years later) realize a breadline is not as farfetched as they imagined then. Let's just hope it doesn't come true.
